Our Beliefs
Our Purpose
“To lead people to establish a relationship with Christ in order to equip and empower them to demonstrate God’s love to the world. “
Core Beliefs
God
There is one living and true God who is infinite, eternal, and unchangable, existing in three persons: father, son, holy spirit. though each person of the godhead possesses precisely the same nature and attributes, each function differently in respect to god's purposes and dealings with humanity. god is the creator, ruler and sustainer of the universe.
The Father
god the father is the first person of the trinity, ordering and directing all things according to his purpose, pleasure and grace. He is sovereign in creation, providence and redemption. He has decreed all things that come to pass for His own glory. He graciously involves Himself in the affairs of men, hears and answers prayer, and saves from sin and death all who come to Him through Jesus
The Son
The Son is the second person of the Trinity and is the only begotten eternal Son of God, who became flesh to reveal God to humanity, to fulfill prophecy and to become the Savior of the lost world. Jesus is the son of God, was born of a virgin, was wholly God and wholly man, lived a sinless life, died in our place as a sacrifice for the sins of humanity, buried, arose bodily from the grave, ascended into Heaven and will gloriously return to claim his bride, the Church
The Holy Spirit
The Spirit is the third person of the Trinity and is equal with God, the Father and Jesus, the Son of God. He is the primary agent for the conviction of sin and regeneration. At the point of salvation, he indwells every believer to become the source of assurance, strength, wisdom, and uniquely endows each believer with gifts for ministry. The Holy Spirit guides believers in understanding and applying the scriptures
The Bible
The Bible is God's written message to humanity, verbally inspired of God, in whole and in part, error free in the original writings and the supreme source of truth, authority of faith and practice for the believer in Jesus
Humanity
Mankind was created in the image of God, that he sinned and thereby incurred not only physical death, but also spiritual death, which is separation from God; and that all human beings are born with a sinful nature, and become guilty sinners in thought, word and deed.
Salvation
The shed blood of Jesus on the cross provides the sole basis for forgiveness of sins and salvation for humanity, which is the free gift of God’s grace. Salvation is affected by the regenerating work of the Holy Spirit and cannot be secured by man’s works or personal merit. Only by trusting in Jesus as God’s offer of forgiveness can man be saved from sin’s penalty
The Church
The Church is the body of Christ of which Jesus is the head and members are those who have truly received Christ by faith. It is a living organism of people rather than a building. The Church is both universal and local. It is universal in the sense that it is composed of all believers, in all places, of all time. Locally, it is believers in one location who have united around a common faith in Christ; worship God, make disciples, serve people and extend the message of Christ to the ends of the Earth. The Church is God’s strategy for reaching the world with the message of Christ.
Eternity
We believe in the bodily resurrection of the saved and unsaved. Heaven and Hell are literal places of eternal existence. Eternal joy in Heaven will be experienced by believers and eternal punishment will be experienced in Hell by unbelievers.
